Todays blog is an interesting one... As you are probably aware I am a self published Author. I have been fortunate enough to be quite successful in doing this and I must admit I love the process that goes with self publishing. Having said that, it hasn't stopped me from submitting my novels to traditional publishing houses throughout Australia. It is an unusual process to undertake... This weekend I did absolutely NO writing what-so-ever. It was our annual 'State Cup Touch-football' weekend in Port Macquarie. We usually have both of our children flying high with the 'Macksville Northern Eagles,' this year it was only our daughter fighting for the 'Cup.' In previous years the football fields in Port Macquarie have been so wet due to February rain the ball floats off when they try and pass via dummy half. This year only a week after a cracking heat wave I was a little nervous as to what to expect, weather wise...

Early Sunday morning I was fortunate enough to have a visit from the beautiful Melinda Perry from 'Melinda Perry Couture.' I have a few special events coming up, (stay tuned I'll let you know about those soon) and I asked Melinda to design and make my outfits for them. Sunday morning was time to measure up.

Sunday afternoon in the roaring summer heat of Bowraville we created something amazing! Thanks to Bettina Dwyer (aka photographer extraordinaire) Bree Castle (aka best sister in the world) and Jimi Allan (aka son of Ya Ya) We pushed through the heat, back sweat, face sweat and spanks to get some amazing photos for my new novel "Beneath the Snow of Gnojnik" Based on a true story we went back to the where it all began...

Well.... it's getting messy... The last hot days of Summer are hitting us with a vengeance. The body is feeling tired and lethargic. Sweaty clothes and a shiny glowing face is the norm. Makeup! HA! Forget about makeup, it runs down your face causing panda eyes within five minutes of application. EVERYONE is grumpy and short tempered, and the hazy fog in the mornings causes a groan and moan of anticipation of what horribly HOT/HUMID day lies ahead.
