Growing up I remember my grandmother often saying time flies. 'Enjoy life darling, before you know it you will be old just like me and wonder where all of the years have disappeared to.'  At this I would roll my eyes and think the poor love was stark raving mad! Time flies! Ha! What a load of crap!   I have since left school, started work and had a family. You know what.... She was right!! Time really does fly.

With the seventh book (seven!! OMG can't believe I have written SEVEN books!) almost complete it is time to search for the next cover models. This part of the writing process of a self published author is so exciting! I band together with my Photographer pal, Bettina and we brain storm based on content and theme of the book to create a cover shot. I use local locations for the shoot and have in the passed used local people. I thought I would take you on a little trip down "Book cover lane" and show you some of the amazing cover models I have had. Introducing... Bree and Ethan.

There comes a time during your parenting journey when you need to take a step back and let your child stumble their own way through life. My husband often refers to this process as 'cutting of the apron strings.' Truth be told I am still struggling with this particular 'process'. There is a fiercely over- protective gene in us mothers that is triggered from the moment you feel your child moving in your womb to the first time you hold them in your arms that will last an eternity. Those special secrets you whisper in their ear as they lay helpless in your arms feeding from your breast, that you will love and protect them with everything you have and everything you are. You will give them your last breath. You will walk to the ends of the Earth for them. There is nothing on this beautiful Earth you wouldn't do for them and this bond only strengthens with the passing years. After the years pass and they grow into young adults....they do this....
