Thankful...

on 23-Jun-2019

I am sitting in bed this wintery Sunday night. State of origin is playing on the television, not something I usually pay attention to so I thought it would be a perfect time to get a blog done. It is the 23rd of June... two weeks and I will be in Melbourne attending my very first international author signing... Am I nervous? Hell yeah... am I excited... Bloody oath!!

Life has been little hectic the last two weeks, and when I say hectic I mean the usual WTF crazy life I lead has just ramped up a few notches... HA! Those that know me well would be shaking their heads about now... and asking themselves, what the hell am I doing now? I can certainly say I don't get bored, I do believe I live each day to its fullest even if at times it drives me a little crazy! I have been so lucky on my journey through life to have an amazing support network. I have an amazing family. From my parents to my husband and my almost adult children. I have friends that are so dear to me and so compassionate and caring towards me that I sometimes wonder what I have done to deserve their love, support and kindness. I hope each of them know how much I love and appreciate them. And then there is my sister...

We have been hanging together for the last thirty nine years...

Thought the crazy young years

Through our young adult years

Through the GOOD

The BAD

And the UGLY...

We have been by each others side through times we thought we would never cope. Propping each other up when needed. Scolding each other when warranted and protecting each other with all we have. There are times I believe we should have been born twins, for my short comings are her strengths and visa versa. Perhaps that is why we are so close.  Thank you Bree for being the absolute BEST! I couldn't have wished for a more loving sister. You truly are an Angel...

On that note, I am going to read through the last of the attending author emails and finalise my trip to Melbourne!!!!

Happy Sunday!
